One Mile Beach Bush Regeneration
Give back to the Bush: Join the Friends of Tomaree National Park at this community event helping to remove weeds and revegetate the bush at the southern end of One Mile Beach which is the track to Morna Point Crag. Copied from the Event page of Econetwork Port Stephens- details of registration below.
Come and improve the crag environment and meet some fellow climbers. Climbing afterwards is not part of the event, but it is a good way to meet people if you haven't got a regular outdoor group and to get on some climbs. People will be happy to belay and set up top ropes if you don't lead climb. It will be low tide at midday- perfect for getting into the climbing area (swell permitting). To climb you need your own harness, helmet and shoes as a minimum. Experience top rope belaying would also be good. The scramble down into the crag is not suitable for young children. If the swell is high, it's likely we will move to areas around Boat Harbour. Any questions about climbing emai:l aca.hunter@climb.org.au.
