The Emirates Wolgan Valley resort has applied to increase helicopter flights into the Wolgan to 30 movements/day or 210 movements/week. You have until 5pm, 18 May to lodge a submission about this with the Dept of Planning. Although this is proposed as a "Temporary modification" to allow resort operation whilst the road is repaired, modelling and consultants seem to be preparing for increased flights even after the road reopens. Although there is little climbing recorded in this region, excellent quality Hawkesbury sandstone and adventurous exploration opportunities exist for outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers.
